As I am not a collector any feedback from my request for future direction was always going to be valuable. Over the past 10 days I have learnt a lot, from posts on the forum, personal contact and by looking around the internet. There is one item I still need help with and this is likely to touch a nerve for some people and that is pricing. I appreciate this is a sensitive subject and the forum is not the best place to discuss this so please email me with any comments or suggestions dave.moseley@cruiselinemodels.com I do not know the demographics for collectors and we will not be producing for any particular category or any particular type of ship so we are out on a limb. I think one of the reasons we have been successful as a modelling company in the past is because of our pricing strategy. I've updated our home page which is a result of the feedback we received
https://www.dm-collectables.com and shown fixed prices for future cruise ships. I think these are fair prices and reflect the work and costs to produce each model.I'm looking for a balance between pricing and sales that sweet spot that customers are comfortable paying but still gives us a profit. Please get in touch and let me know your thoughts on this matter.
Kind regards
Dave
