Paul: Really nice detailing, especially the funnel spreaders. How did you replace those 20mm?

.015” wire from Detail Associates for 6” guns.
What gauge wire do you use for main battery barrels?
The Delphin GEORGE LEYGUES is a model that dates back to the late 1960s or early'70s. As such it is far from state of the art today. It is the only 1250 scale model of a GLOIRE Class cruiser post 1945 that was produced however, and as such is worthy of a makeover. To do that, I made a number of changes. I removed all the 20mm mounts and tubs and replaced them. I replaced the 6" gun barrels and drilled out the tripod mast. Most of the changes are visible in the second photo. As refinished the model makes a nice addition to my French Navy collection.
