Well, my home state, Alabama, would not be in the running, but here are the ships I can think of offhand (leaving out DDs named for Alabamians and limiting myself to WWII): BB Alabama; CA Tuscaloosa; CLs Birmingham and Mobile, AP Talladega; Next door, in Florida I can think of CA Pensacola, as well as CLs Miami and Tallahassee; From Mississippi the BB, as well as cruiser Biloxi; and finally Tennessee, the BB, and CLs Memphis and Nashville. Just stuff from off the top of my head.
