It depends on the type of material used for the mast. On 1250 models masts are almost always made of soft metal, which can be manipulated with tweezers or your fingers. Pliers are not necessary and may be too much. However, some, especially smaller models, usually have steel wire pole masts. These are mostly impossible to perfectly restore. If possible, pull them out with pliers and replace them. I prefer brass wire to steel, but some modelers like brass.
What is the name of the type of pliers used for the straighting of 1250 masts. And where would I purchase one?
