Jordan and Dumas are a good resource, as is the Marines Edition book by Sarnet and Le Valliant ( in French). The problem with the factory painting on the French ships is the decks. However the camouflage on the RICHELIEU model (post refit) is reasonably correct, although only for a relatively short time, as it was changed several times during the war. As for the Italians, it’s not the stripes that’s the problem, it’s the rest of the decks which should be dark gray, save for the quarterdecks which should be bare wood.
