I was looking at the photos of the upcoming Albatross USS Princeton, CG-59, posted on the 1250ships.com site and noticed two items of concern regarding the model. The first and most glaring is the configuration of the foremast. The model only shows a single pole mast with one cross member and not the reversed tripod with domes/radar on a forward platform. None of the Ticos ever had a pole foremast and Princeton does not have one now. The second smaller issue in the photos is the Harpoon canisters on the stern are pointing fore and aft and not port and starboard. The model is correct in having the air search radar and platform removed from the tripod mainmast for current configuration. I hope the photo is of a preproduction model and not what is being sold. If this is what the production model looks like it is a very bad error and will be hard to correct unless you have some of the old Martin Brown PE mast sets for Ticos around. Very expensive model and terrible error if this is the final.
