If you ever discover a source for 1250 scale screws please let me know. Previous Message
I have been using Tom’s radars for many years. You need good eyesight and steady hands. Tom Harrison (I think that was his last name) now deceased, started Tom’s Model Works in the 1990’s. He lived not far from me. When I discovered he was making PEB for larger scale models, I contacted him, and he came to my home and we discussed the possibility of his making parts for 1250 scale models. As a result he produced a number of items: radars, railings, cage masts, catapults, and propellors. I got the earliest sets from him to experiment with. I didn’t find some of these useful, but the radars were, although one problem was that he had simply scaled down his larger sets, and I found the parabolic ones too complicated to assemble. His cage masts are nice, but the problem with them is that they don’t shape well into the classic curves required. Tom died quite some time ago, but someone else took over and has carried it on.
Recently I rediscovered a set of his original propellers in my parts stash. I had used a few many years ago, but had since forgotten who made them, as his first sets had no maker’s markings. I’m using them now to enhance some of my planes. It keeps me busy. Previous Message
