...very proud of you. He would beam while discussing your accomplishments, both great and small. And you were always there when help was needed. I think many of us are both shocked and saddened, but John's works will live on. If there is anything we can do, just let us know. John was amongst the best of us.

I am saddened to say that John Youngerman passed away on Saturday December 11. Known to many of us, John was a collector and prolific builder of 1200/1250 scale models. Many of his models can be seen at his website Miniature Modeling which can be found by going to Collector's Links at the Home Page here.
John also provided masters to Hai and Mountford, some of which were produced and thus examples of his work, as well as many of the wood models that he custom built, are in the hands of collectors around the world.
John was a member of the Northern California Chapter of the SMSC, and we will very much miss his presence at our meetings.
