There was an interesting description of a conversion of the never-completed USS Kentucky (BB66) to an "anti-aircraft battleship" in the latest edition of "Warship International." In the ultimate version, she would have mounted sixteen dual purpose 8" guns in four quadruple turrets with numerous twin 5"/54s and 3"/50s. Superstructure looked a little like the Oregon City class CAs. Far more than a conversion, it would be interesting for one or more makers to give it a try. Happy Holidays all.
