Re: A quick question for cruise ship collectors
Thankyou for the feedback. Many years ago when we planned to produce cruise ship models I did some samples which included loungers and other fine detail. Personally for me I think they add an extra level of detail and authenticity, probably the only time you see a cruise ship without this detail is during their sea trials. My gut instinct is to include it on the model. Any extra detail included will not effect the price previously quoted. Our aim is to make these models the best available.
For me it depends on price point and general level of detail. As vessels increase in precision, and price, I expect first step is to paint the decks. And then paint them accurately - I.e. if there are running tracks etc. then next step for me is deck detail like pool slides and some of the bigger fixed bits of furniture. I cant recall many (possibly any) which had sun loungers.
I looked forwards to seeing the new product line. I hope that you are successful, there are many gaps in cruise ships which it would be nice to fill.
Which is preferable, the top decks with or without sun loungers. I do not see too many models with this detail.
