Shapeways has gradually sped up their production cycle and are increasingly rejecting higher quality and detail models, both new and those that have printed before successfully. I have emailed several high quality designers on Shapeways (MoM, BWN, FP and COB) and all have run into issues with Shapeways new "guidelines". Most common are Shapeways complaints about gun barrels, mast thicknes and davits. FP had to finally eliminate its masts on its excellent SMS Budapest as modified with the 15" howitzer (1916), before Shapeways agreed to print it. Shapeways seems to be losing interest in 1/1250 production, and trying to steer or prefer designers to simpler and less accurate prints.
The "graying" of the hobby is a sad reality. We have fewer dealers and producers (not counting Shapeways) than we did 20 years ago. And where first runs of my SMY models used to average 90-100 models, they are now half that. One could count Shapeways, but many of the producers there make only a very limited selection of 1200/1250 scale models, and many of the models are lower detail wargaming models.
Paul, if what you are saying is true than the manufacturers are on their way out too. To think of it I better start moving myself...

These look like they will be great models. But given the average age of most collectors, and the length of time it is taking to see them produced, many of us wonder if we’ll live to see them.
Jeff, for prices you need to talk to producer and dealers. I don't really know. Airplanes will be available in packs. So yes you can get them separately.
Juan to answer your question Hancock, Tico and Intrepid are post SCB-27C modernization so yes there are many differences. The most obvious is starboard elevator and starboard after AA guns relocation.
Sewing, you are absolutely right .SeaKings were added for future releases. In this particular case, I hope I won't get in trouble by spilling the beans, for Princeton LPH-5 during her Appolo 10 landing participation.
