There are a few new things, namely the new Quicksearch at the top of the screen. It's got an autofocus which means you can type away just as the website has loaded. No need to click into the field. Just type a ship name or partial name and hit "Enter" to search. It's especially useful when you want to perform several searches in quick succession. No need to grab the mouse again, just type, press enter, repeat.
The main page listing of the producers was shortened a bit by only showing the series of those who have more than one. This might take a bit to get used to. You also might want to either delete cache for Sammelhafen or reload the website with CTRL+F5, otherwise the website might use a file from your cache with outdated information on the design of the website. Which could lead to some unwanted display issues, small ones only I think.
There were a quite few changes under the hood, too. I believe the only one visible to you is a slight optimization of the search function for dashes. Like searching for U-1 instead of U 1 should now give better results.
Alright, let's have a look at the new content. There are 6 new producers. With the exception of EMS those were taken from the "Gesamtliste". Namely I have added Ems, Spithead Naval Miniatures, Thoroughbred Models, Tremo, Vanner, WASS Line.
I've also done some indepth reviewing, especially from producers T to Z. In total about 850 new entries were added.
Pictures is about 100 this time. Most of them from collectors who send them in. Many thanks!!
The biggest part of this update, though, is the quenching of errors. I was able to locate more than 400 of them. Some by your reports. Many thanks to those who reported them! About 60 models who were missing a country had it added. About 100 additional corrections were made on year numbers, those were mostly smaller inaccuracies.
In the coming days I'll try to finally catch up with my E-Mails and get back to those who send in error reports. I'm hoping that starting next week I'll manage to get the new models and new pictures in with smaller and more regular updates.
