This happened in Littlehampton a few hundred metres from my front door. Exactly the same thing happened a few months ago only that time the bow lines broke and the Elise grounded bow on to the west bank. If I was Littlehampton port authority I would demand that she buy a full suit of new mooring lines before she is allowed into Littlehampton again.
We used to holiday at Rustington when I was a lad in the 70s.We spent many an evening at the Arun View Inn (a bottle of Coke with a paper straw for us kids) where we had a great view of ships loading and unloading at the wharfs upriver. One particular vessel I remember from those days was the Chichester Star, great memories!
