We are actually moving to a bigger house than we have now in order to accommodate a major guest suite...so plenty of room for boxes... Previous Message
Always keep the boxes. Where to store them might be difficult - will you have loft space in a house? If you're moving to an apartment will you have some storage space allocated? Best case scenario would be to store the boxes as they are, next best would be to remove any staples (for example) and store the boxes flat to save space. Worse case, make careful cuts in the card to enable the boxes to be stored flat. Previous Message
I will be moving from Boulder to Santa Fe in the next year or so, and am planning the move with regard to my ship models (I have about 2500). I will be moving them by car fastened down in drawers that I intend to re-install in Santa Fe but I also kept all the original boxes. I need advice about what to do about the latter. Should I move them too even though I will not be using them for the move itself or should I get rid of them? Original boxes are important for some antiques, like toy soldiers but are they in any way important when I dispose of my collection, as I will eventually do? Any advice appreciated. Thanks and best.
