With Brexit happening the UK has revised their tax and tariff policies and will now require shippers to collect all VAT tax and tariffs at the time of sale. Sellers much register with HM Revenue and Customs office, file tax returns and make payments directly to them. Most previous exemptions have been eliminated and as a result all shipments now will have VAT applied.
After some analysis I have determined that the cost of complying with the new rules would exceed the total value of my yearly sales into the UK. As a result I will no longer ship to the UK after this Friday, December 18, 2020.
I will continue to look for affordable options to allow me to resume UK operations. I do not anticipate much change before the spring as it will take time for things to settle down.
