Just hope for all of us that everything will be better in 2021. Glad that your cataract surgeries turned out so good, so fast. Previous Message
Glad to hear you are mostly through it. I had cataract surgery on both eyes (though a week apart) and it is a whole new world out there! Modeling was awful before that but now back up to scratch. All the best to you and Mona from Jennifer and me. Peter Previous Message
It's about time I quit procrastinating and get back in touch with SMSC. 2020 has been godawful for me and my wife. I have had pretty much no interest in ship modeling, except that lately I have put together several 1:700 scale models. Mostly, both of us have spent many hours at the doctors. I could almost write a book about all that has happened, but I will just use a couple of examples. It took two biopsies, but they finally determined that my wife did NOT have breast cancer. Whew! However, the same day we got the good news, we were told that two of her daughters had just been diagnosed with late stage cancers. Recently, I had noticed that my modeling skills were not as sharp as they had been in the past. My eyes seemed to be playing me tricks. Went to opthalmologist who took a look and asked me if I wanted my cataracts removed one at a time or both in one procedure. My vision was down to 20/40. So, last Thursday I had the cataracts removed and my vision was literally instantly back to 20/20 or better. So, my apologies to those of you who had requested commissioned ship models. I can now get back to working on your projects.
Best wishes to all for a happy Thanksgiving with lots of good food. Hope to hear from you.
