Re: Interesting thoughts but....
I well tought to the 2 Polish 1500 t, the BURZA and WICHER but at ww2 begining that does't "stick" with the american destroyer in center photo since US entered war later end 41.
The Canadian licence building the corvette I pointed for the US one is the TACOMA class or may be the Brit RIVER class.
France got his own TACOMAs from the US as ex "USS" ships.
So many were in each class of these 4 navies make difficult to match these 4 in some action together with a particular name...
Donít think French. Think Polish. Remember Poland started the war with two of the French built ships.
i have gone through most notable situations involving a French torpillier and as with ALAIN find nothing which has all 4 classes in a single action involving all 4 as major/sole antagonists?
...I had something more precise in mind...
What is the connection between these four ships? Name the connection, the ships, and the models.
Top is one French torpilleur of class BOURRASQUE & L'ADROIT, center an American I would say PORTER, MAHAN or close class, botom left an american built under Canadian licence, France got 4 whitin the LE VERRIER and the TONKINOIS, botom right one British corvette FLOWER class.
All look Neptun models.
Connection could be many in escort task or a battle in North Africa 42 landing with the French 1500 tons in defence for the Vichy side (Pedestal?)(Dakar/Casablanca?) but they're short legs for so long cruise.
Not impossible they were present at the "D Day" 6.6.44 in Normandy landing.
