Bill,Len would not have given you the model if
he did not expect you to keep it.
Just enjoy it as a reminder.
If Sheila wants the escort carrier master, I will be happy to return it to her.
Len's daughter Sheila would not consider selling any of these models.
I had many long talks with her and the models were divided into sell and keep batches.
All the hand built models were to be kept.
Has Len's daughter, to your knowledge, ever expressed an interest in selling any of them?
Len did indeed make a large number of warship
models before he started the model business.
They were all made with wood hulls and either wood or plastic upperworks.
They were all one off models.
When I cleared Len's workshop I packed up around 100 of them.
They are all held by Len's daughter.
As far as I am aware he never sold one.
Looks kinda German.
This is clearly a resin copy of a Navis model. I don't know who did it. So far as I know Len only did merchant ships, though a few were merchant ships that were serving as naval auxiliaries or armed merchant cruisers.
