Re: Your P's and Q's and a fistfull of R, S, T's and U's!
The very best of luck and I look forward to your efforts.
Thanks for the comment Robert, they have both been on my "must do" list for a couple of years now and I hope to be finally getting down to doing them soon. They both present particular challenges and will need a good deal of work to get exactly right, but it is time I bit the bullet!
You make terrific airships and flying boats; have you considered making the various marks of Sunderlands and Catalinas, the two most widely used Allied flying boats of WW II?
These are the first 18 models in my "CLASSIC AIRSHIPS 1250" line up . They represent the production of all of the Zeppelin factories from April 1915 until mid August 1917 starting with the first million cubic feet ship, the Army's LZ38 P-Type and ending with the Navy's L54, 1.97 cubic feet, L48 Class, U-Type.
The 18 models account for 60 airships built and I have listed them on my website in a searchable table that identifies exactly what variant each individual airship was. All you have to do is enter a particular I.D. number and you will be taken straight there. Alternatively of course , you can just look through the different Classes or Types to see what is included.
At the bottom of the table you will find a link to my waterslide DECAL order page - sheets CA001 and CA002 include markings in 1/1250 scale for every Naval Zeppelin operated during the War - You can mix decals and models in your shopping cart, I have to ask you to bear with me though because I have not been able to automate the shipping/postage charges. Models and Decals are despatched separately so please click on one of the delivery buttons (once per order) for each.
The table below shows all of the German Navy Zeppelin Types employed and it illustrates that I still have M and O types from the start of the War and V, W and X Types from the end to add to the model range to make it complete. Plus of course, there were various rebuilds of 'ships that changed their outlines significantly enough to require a new model, even in 1:1250 scale. I will be adding the Vs, Ws and Xs within a week or so; the rest will be completed within the next few months so please watch this space and I will let you know when they are available!
Happy modelling everyone.
