Sorry JeffRe: Now I fell a (;ittle) better!Re: OK Re: Eagle list (8 of which were re-issued by Pyro)
Sorry Jeff! I totally misread your post. That happens when you are in a hurry I guess. You know the reasons why right now. As they said in the movie "HELP!", "It's the brain drain. His brain is draining!"
Jeff, Jeff, Jeff! You had me going! Turns out I did mention these mods in the book after all. My brain is draining I guess. See Page 102 at the bottom. Whew! This would have been a BIG omission to have left these mods out!
Ok, NOW I do have to do a re-write. :>} Jeff, you are correct. The H class could indeed be built as an "I" class or an "F" class per the Eagle instruction sheet. However, the F class was a simple trim of two of the parts, No new parts for that one. The I class added one new part (bridge front), a trim of another part and omission of two more ("after mast" braces). I sure goofed by not mentioning these in the book. Oh, well, I knew there were some problems with the book. I just added this to the list of things to correct SOMEDAY.
Don't forget, the H class destroyer kit came with alternative parts for the I class and, I think one other (F?). Neither kits nor Don't book to hand as I write. I completed one of my 'H' to an I class.
My first Graf Spee purchase had an impact on my life that I could not possibly have envisaged when I parted with my 1/3d!
