Re: BL Kako

I have a KAKO, which looks somewhat similar but has more detail. Mine does not have a label either, so it could be one made by another company. Note however that the model in question is 1:1500 not 1:1200 which could account for some of the differences. The other thing that can account for differences is when the model was made, because details changed as more information became available. One question is whether the model was made with mount #2 on the deck, or whether somehow it was damaged and repaired incorrectly, as the mount should be on a housing superimposed over the other two mounts.
Does anyone have a BL Kako that they can photograph and post? There's a recognition model (obviously wood and WWII recognition) for sale on ebay UK that is being offered as a BL, but there's no label. Head's book confirms that BL made a Kako, but the book doesn't have a photo. The model is interesting to me b/c of the fore funnel - it's actually rather squarish, and matches to a T the way the funnel is done on a similarly label-less recognition model I have of Yubari, which scales out closer to 1/1500. I suspect both models are from a UK WWII recog-model maker, but not BL.
