This yearly event has been very well received here in San Jose with large crowds coming to History Park.
Our San Jose chapter, as in previous years, put on a magnificent display. This years theme was the 75th anniversary of D-Day. This big diorama displays one of the beaches of Normandie at the beginning of the landing.
Before the event officially opened at 12 noon, we had already a visitor, a WWII veteran that participated in the landing in 1944 as a Medic. He was very impressed with the diorama.
Here are my photos of the event: https://imgur.com/a/qrlW7IZ
I want to congratulate our San Jose Chapter for another job well done. And if you are interested in seeing this diorama, the plan is to show it again on Veterans Day on Santana Row, San Jose.
