Perhaps I should have explained myself better. I was NOT doing "research" for more information on Currituck. I had just gotten 1:250 scale planes for her and thought about making a model. But, other than Neptun, I don't know where to look on the web to find out if it had been done before, though I suspected it. I had collaborated with Paul on his SMY "Curtiss", doing the basic model and he did the fussy stuff, though he didn't like what I had done--and he might have been right. I note that there are several beautiful models shown in the comments herein, so, unless I am feeling masochistic in the future, I won't do one. Got lots of other projects in any case. Sorry to upset you.
John, you have asked these "has anybody done" model x or y questions many times over recent years. Instead of doing some easy basic research yourself, it seems your philosophy is why not have others do research for me? You certainly have enough computer skills to regularly post your models for sales. So lack of internet familiarity can't be the excuse. Laziness? Willful ignorance?
Has USS Currituck, AV-7, or any of her sister ships been commercially produced? Not sure my memory serves me right, but didn't Paul convert a model into Currituck or a sister ship? Got an opportunity to do her and wonder what situatoin is.
