Google sarcoidiosis and find the UNC.edu site. Sounds like they are doing a study and the site said they have to study animals since it doesn't work well to study humans. Perhaps they would give you some insight or advice if you contacted them.
You want to pay my vet to come and look at your Ziggy? She has worked on our Ziggy several times, but not as often as she has worked on Zelda. All of our work has been done with the zebras "standing asleep." She sedates them enough to put them out but not enough so they drop. She had to sew up Zelda's eye twice and put her face back on once and did all of them with her standing sedated. If you think it would help, you could have your vet contact my vet (or any other exotic animal vet) for advice on how to proceed.
