I don't believe for one second that the zebra and handler were the total fault. I have had way to much public interaction to know that bratty kids and blame pushing parents have alot to do with these types of circumstances such as this. I would say at least 75% of most city kids will not or do not follow direction along with the parents. She most likely was holding on to the treat instead of holding it flat and crunch there goes a piece of finger. Should the hanlder been watching more closely, sure but with kids and parents and questions.Things can happen. The calmest oldest pony in the world can do the same thing. Just saying I think the parent overreacted with the rabies shots and this is not a news worthy story. When did the the lack of commonsense become such a great hero!
Just saying. PS that is why we stopped letting the public feed the animals a long time ago. Except for the goats and cows and llamas (no top teeth).... Best Wishes to All
