Well, I actually thought of that as my first choice for a zebra name when I starting looking to buy one. At the time I was still in the computer world and had a considerable piece of my team working on barcode systems. Once you understand how barcodes work, with wide and narrow bars of both dark and white spaces and how they take on meaning, depending on which type of code you are using, it made a lot of sense to see a similarity to zebra stripes. Then when I decided to get two, I thought Zig and Zag would work better. Didn't end up using those either, but came close with Ziggy.
