The mouthpiece is round and the twist is fairly closely spaced-It looks like an iron rope. I was impressed by the width of the mouthpiece. It would have to have been a pretty large animal.
I've seen some bits that I think are too harse in modern catalogues. I really wonder why they have to exist.
