I can't take him this time, it is a reasonable precaution tho, there will be 32 teams competing and I don't want to scare any horses. Tom is being very safety concious and definately believes that it is each "whip's" responsibility to control their animal. Being his property, it is also his responsibility to keep everyone as safe as possible. I really need to start off on the right foot and try to make as many friends as possible. So far in the local driving community, I have had nothing but support from other participants. I would like to keep it that way so I don't mind starting slowly. There is another event on the 4th, a fun drive but it may be too long for Charlie. I will have to check. 3 hours is a long time to drive him, he may be ready though, I drove him for a total of about 2 hours at Tom's and he didnt' appear tired at all.
