Hi Juan, I do sell a couple of zebra foals each year. I AM a breeder, and have been for the last16 years. I DO screen all my buyers before hand, and I wind up "talking most potential buyers OUT of owning one", most people who think they want one, does not have any business owning one, and if I think I'm talking with one of these people, I just don't sell to them. So...let's keep talking. Your doing the right thing by asking for information well in advance, so you're off to a good start. This website is a very helpful tool, but beware, there are predators waiting to sell you a bill of goods wherever you go. My advise to anyone who thinks they may want to own a zebra is, go and spend a few days at the persons farm who is trying to sell it to you. You could do this years in advance if you want. I guess that wouldn't work at a farm that may or may not be in business the following year. I always welcome any potential customers who pass my critique, to come out and spend a day or few at my farm to make sure. Maybe they are ready to buy, maybe they are like you, and it is only in the wish category. Either way, you should only buy ANY animal from a trusted source. I hate hearing about people that get their cart before the horse, so to speak. Anyway, contact me anytime, I love talking about animals, and I love sharing the knowledge I've gained.
