Hay prices are better here this year. So is availability. Last year I couldn't even find any round bales to buy and I heard of them going for $90 for mixed fescue/orchard grass. Square bales were over $10 a bale. I ended up feeding beet pulp to strech my hay supply. I also drove to Pensylvania to get a load of hay. YUCK!
This year round bales are around $40 to $50 and square bales $4 to $7 depending on quality.
I don't know of any alfalfa hay, I don't usually feed it, but if I hear of any I will pass it on to you. I usually try to feed orchard grass.
