How lame and how much money? Several years ago we had a bit of a controversy on this board over a zebra with a dislocated or deformed hip that traded ownership through contacts here. The new owner had no intentions of breeding her, but it stirred up quite a storm from those who were afraid he would. Incidentally, I visited him (in TN) and saw her later. Made me wonder if for enough $$$$$ some vet might have been willing to try to correct her hip. Guess that never happened.
