It's been a looooong time since I last posted on this forum, but have returned looking for a home for our Grant zebra stud. Zig Zag (named after the stripes on his legs) is still a wildman. He's extremely protective of his spotted jenny companion is fairly aggressive towards other horses (two have been introduced into his pasture and both times resulting in injuries to the geldings). I tried the 'join up' technique, several times, with no resultant change in behavior, but I truely believe only due to the fact that it was just a round pen, with an open view to the outside. With solid sides (where they can't see out), the results may have been totally differnt.
Needless to say, he wore my butt out and would probably STILL be running around in circles if I hadn't given up first.
Somebody else wanna take a crack at it ?
