Went down with a disaster response team to Louisiana this past week. We passed out cleanup kits, personal care kits and blankets. There were almost some people who came and took what we were offering because it was free, but we were able to help quite a few that unquestionably needed what we could give them. Most notably some of the Houma Indians are living in homes that are trashed on a mud covered island with almost no help from anyone. Gives one a warm feeling to know that you can make a difference in the lives of people who need help.
