Well, it appears the eye of the storm will be passing right over the farm here in Willis / Conroe. We are 70 miles inland, but we are expecting to be hit pretty hard. Sammi Jo and I have done the best we can to prepare for the worst. The zebras are all together in a small pasture, and the horses and "Butter" the camel are all secured in a larger pasture. Of course we are worried about trees on the fences, especially int the zebra pasture. We have moved all the livestock away from the barn areas, to prevent them from being injured in a building collapse or from flying debris. We are expecting hurricane force winds sometime in the middle of the night or near daybreak. Cross your fingers, say a prayer, or do whatever you do during these times.
