Gret question Sue, If this is how horses were domesticated, then I dont see any reason why it would not work with zebras. Basically, ,and simply, if the "baby" sees that the "mother" is not afraid of humans, then they will continue to see us as people, their dominant buddies, not predators. Honestly, I dont see any reason why people say zebras are not domesticated, i mean, what about mustangs, are they wild?, A zebra is an equine, in which every type has been domesticated, like the horse, donkey, oranner (spelling) etc, why cant the zebra not be domesticated. Tigers, bears, KILLER whales hav been domesticated, yes they are wild, but what is the negative word about zebras? With care, and special training, I think zebras can be just like horses, or even better?
