Yes, it 's been a long time. I had just gotten a 9 month old "wild" zebra filly.
She is now 3.
I have recently gotten a male who has been hand raised, and the difference is amazing. He is 5 months old. I am working with him daily and he is doing great so far. I know what everyone says about stallions especially bottle raised ones, so I'm waiting to see how things work out. I'd prefer not to geld him, but I'm ready to if it looks like I'll have to.
I am working on teaching him to drive. My zebra mare is way to small to ride so although I have been saddling him to get him used to it I'm not planning to ride him.
I'm not too far from you, I'm near Roanoke VA.
I was just down your way for work, (actually Charlotte) and I stopped at the Lazy 5 ranch if you know where that is.
I was suprised to see that they had Grevys zebra. They were beautiful and so much bigger that the Grants.
How are both your girls doing?
