Posted by Cheryl on 26/8/2004, 1:16 am, in reply to "Pics from last nite's show!!!" let me just recap last night's show for the benefit of all the fans who couldn't make it to the show. The event was held at Marina Pub & Disco and was slated to commence at 10.30pm. However, Hong only appeared around 11.30pm, to a much anxious crowd. Seemed to me that majority of the crowd were regulars of the disco with only a handful of real fans. When Hong appeared singing his first song, which was a fast Cantonese number, many ppl went towards the stage with their cameras and handphones to snap pictures of him. My frens and I were standing a short distance away from the stage, but we slowly inched our way forward and ended up standing at the foot of the stage. That's why we had such a good view! Hong sang at least 8 songs (I can't really remember all the songs he sang due to my excitement). He also sang Theresa Teng's Wo Zhi Zai Hu Ni, which he sang at his concert here last year. He shook hands and posed for pics for the crowd, endearing himself greatly to us. There was no MC for the night, just Hong and us. It was great, cos he was chatting with us the whole night, updating us on his future plans. Mid-way through, Hong took out 3 autographed "So Fresh" CDs to give away. He selected 3 ppl from the audience and asked each one a question. I was one of the lucky ones! He even introduced me as his long time supporter since his Quickly days! I was truly touched.... Another gal even got the chance to sing a duet with him, unplugged! You've got to admit he looks great in his outfit - blue striped shirt, jeans and shiny shoes! When someone took a photo of his shoes, he was very amused! He was like "shoes you also want to take??" He joked that those shimmering shoes were worn by Michael Jackson who sold it to him. Haha...I also took a pic for remembrance... The show ended at abt 12.15am, leaving us with more fond memories of Hong. We will probably not see him for a long while, since he will be concentrating in filming drama serials. But let us continue in our unwavering support for Hong. He is truly one talented and nice guy! Cheers! Have also attached a link to an article in today's Zaobao. There is a detailed writeup on his future plans. Enjoy. http://stars.zaobao.com/foreignstar/pages4/suyongkang250804.html
