While Mr Zhang has definitively spent a lot of time hardening his palms (which I really feel sorry for looking how deformed they are), he is still using some old trick when breaking bricks. The trick is to lift one side of the brick and then strike it while at the same time letting it hit the table. The brick wil break easily. Of course one needs some speed and strength, but basically anyone with decent level of fitness can do it.
Try it, you will see how easy it is.
BTW I also do not understand what you mean by saying "the highest ranked iron palm master in China". What body/organization gives such ranks? Please provide more details to support your claim.
