For bagua in Chengdu, try Zhou Huihuan at his studio on Xi Yulong Jie - it's above a branch of the Chen Mapo Doufu restaurant. His phone used to be - perhaps still is - (028) 86511058. He doesn't speak English but several foreigners train with him. His bagua is apparently a family style, resembling Cheng. He is pretty good, but not sure he's a good teacher - and he also charges foreigners a lot and makes you buy silly silk pjs.
I also did a lot of push hands with Xiao Shusheng, who heads a large group of taiji people training in Renmin Park Saturday and Sunday mornings (from about 8.30). They meet by the Monument to the Martyrs, a big obelisk decorated with carvings of trains and spanners near the north gate. Again, no English spoken. Xiao is a great bloke, very talented and helpful. Some interesting people from many styles orbit this group, dropping in from time to time. Many other good martial practitioners elsewhere in Renmin Park at the same time (and a lot of not-so-good!).
Chengdu also has a large sports institute with strong martial contingent on the corner of Yihuan Lu and Wuhou Ci Dajie, southwest of the centre. You really need a contact to get in here though, and I never made one. Bah!
There's also Liu Suibin outside of Chengdu at Qingcheng Shan, a forested mountain "park" about a couple of hours north of town. He pushes his own type of taiji and bagua. Not met him. Might be able to track down contact info online.
Mr Shen runs the Emei Shan Martial Arts School at Emei Shan town. It moved buildings recently, not sure to where. He teaches wushu generally BUT I've seen him do some impressive internal stuff which he says he learned on Wudang Shan. If you contact "Patrick" Yang, an English-speaking tour guide in Emei, he should be able to put you in touch 0137-08131210, or patrickyanglong@yahoo.com.cn
have fun
