Gong Li Chuan is a very popular form in the Shaolin Long Fist curriculum. Many soldiers in the Chinese army learned this form as part of their basic training. Once these soldiers were released from the army, many started teaching their forms to students interested in learning which accounts for a lot of the variations out there for this form.
