Let's say I am 3rd Dan in MMA. Or even 4th. If I have never fought someone who was also a 4th dan (or even 2nd) in Kung Fu, how do I know how good or bad it is? Fact of the matter is, most MMA 4th Dans have never met a real martial artist. Even 1st dan in MMA could beat all kinds of fake martial arts idiots. But real martial arts? Watch out 4th dans!
: Hmmm.
:
: I submit an arguement that Kung Fu
: is ineffective in a real fight, as
: evidenced in the UFC.
:
: Further it is an archaic throw-back
: that markets itself on the credo
: that 'mystesism can prevail over
: brawn'
:
: And what does Andrew do to dispel
: this theory?
:
: He show me a link to a MMA site
: which has a clip of a fight why
: merely re-enforces my arguement!
:
: 90% of fights, irrespective of the
: combatants is either over in 3
: seconds or ends-up on the ground.
:
: Who would you have as a bouncer at a
: pub?
:
: Who is going to win a fight between?
:
: a.) A burly 6ft5 110kgs guy who
: knows a
: bit of boxing
:
: b.) A 5ft 8 inch 75kg guy who has
: studied Kung Fu for his entire adult
: life and is a 3rd Dan?
:
: We all know the answer.
:
: Get to the gym, build muscle, learn
: to box a bit, learn how to ground
: fight.
