It is one of the most important Taoist temples in China because of the following reasons:
2.It is the main temple for Complete Reality sect of Taoism and the place Qiu Chuji - who was the head of Dragon Gate Branch - taught and was burried.
3.Chinese Taoist Academy is located there (which Dacheng has already pointed out).
