Does your teacher have any plans to put out some of his knowledge of xinyi on video. The article that I read mentioned that he had an interest in preserving his knowledge of xinyi for future generations. Thanks
: Wu's lineage is:
: Lu Song'gao - Xie Xingbang - Zhou
: Huangen - Wu Qiuting
:
: so this is a sub-branch of Shanghai
: XYLHQ.
:
: Xie Xingbang's branch is quite
: popular in Shanghai, not only
: because of Xie's skill, but also his
: high position in police circles and
: work as undercover communist agent
: in pre-1949 Shanghai.
:
: Generally speaking Xie's style is a
: relatively hard version of XYLHQ;
: some attribute this to the fact that
: he was a Heihu (Black Tiger Boxing)
: practitioner prior to his Xinyi
: studies with Lu Song'gao.
:
: Xie's grandson, Xie Heping, has
: gained almost legendary fame as a
: very skifull XYLHQ fighter.
: Unfortunately for some reasons XHP
: has been hiding for the last years
: and is probably not going to take
: part in any public MA activites any
: time soon.
:
: Jarek
