Xie Xingbang's branch is quite popular in Shanghai, not only because of Xie's skill, but also his high position in police circles and work as undercover communist agent in pre-1949 Shanghai. Generally speaking Xie's style is a relatively hard version of XYLHQ; some attribute this to the fact that he was a Heihu (Black Tiger Boxing) practitioner prior to his Xinyi studies with Lu Song'gao. Xie's grandson, Xie Heping, has gained almost legendary fame as a very skifull XYLHQ fighter. Unfortunately for some reasons XHP has been hiding for the last years and is probably not going to take part in any public MA activites any time soon. Jarek
