Posted by Andrew Thanks for the post. Obviously you're a big Kaz Tadano fan and a Bisons fan. We are too! You are being way too hard on the Buffalo News and writer Tim Graham. To suggest that he or any other News writer scours weekly publications to steal other people's work is preposterous. As a matter of fact, when our article ran in Artvoice, we learned from Bisons beat writer Mike Harrington that a feature on Tadano had been on their assignment calendar for quite a while. Tim Graham's piece was excellent... really brought out the challenges and difficulties that a foreign baseball player faces when coming to play in a strange land. Obviously he spent a great deal of time talking to Tadano's teammates and to the folks in Cleveland. We're a bit envious! We wish Artvoice would allot the column space so we could do a topic like this justice. As for Kaz' collegiate cinematic endeavors - like it or not, he will be tagged as the "gay porn star" for the rest of his public life. Our guess is that it was profoundly embarassing to him and his circle at first, but the great story here is he faced this issue head on, dealt with it and put it behind him. Lesser people would have crawled under a rock, but Kaz overcame hias personal issues and has achieved success. Best of all, the players in the clubhouse have given this whole topic a big yawn and a shrug of the shoulders. We all do dumb things in life... Kaz hurt no one, he is a terrific pitching prospect and a nice guy to boot. PLEASE don't criticize the Buffalo News for their Bisons coverage!
