Posted by Alan B on 6/14/2005, 6:50 pm Dear Mr. Graham, Your cover story in today's Buffalo News on Buffalo Bisons pitcher Kazuhito Tadano was absolutely I am a big fan and follow news of the Bisons very closely and read not only your publication but also various minor league baseball websites and all the local weeklies. Another newspaper, Artvoice, did virtually the identical feature story on Kaz about 6 weeks ago. You must have seen it! Only reason I know so is that you pretty much plagiarized that entire piece, added a couple of John Farrell quotes and shazzam!... your work day is done. What I find most disturbing is what else you added to the Artvoice piece for your story... yet another tired rehash of Tadano's lurid past as a gay porn star. This news broke over two years ago, press conferences were held in the minor league towns that Tadano played in, and then the Cleveland Indians held yet another big media event that off season. How much longer are we going to call this "news"? How many times will Tadano have to pick up a paper and have to read about this whole chapter in his life yet again? I give the Artvoice columnists a lot of credit. Artvoice is the gay-est paper around these parts yet they chose not to exploit this part of Tadano's life for sensationalistic headlines, which is what that paper usually does best. If I remember, they even used a masthead for their column in Japanese lettering. So which clipping do you think Tadano is going to send back home to his folks in Japan, yours or Artvoice's? I think the answer is obvious. Do us all a favor, Mr. Graham and stay out of the pressbox at Dunn Tire Park and stick to hockey and boxing where at least you have grown out of your diapers. Your slam of Tadano is NOT appreciated, your rehash of old news will just cause Tadano more grief from some asshole fans, you should be ashamed that you had to steal another publication's work to earn your paycheck. I would call this a disgraceful performance on your part. Alan
