Posted by Pete One comment though. You gave Joe Robbie (i.e. Pro Player/Dolphins) Stadium only one star as a baseball venue. On first glance, most baseball fans might agree with you; it is, after all, a football stadium. However, you last visited in 2001, when the Marlins looked to be on death's door and in danger of contraction. A lot has happened since then, namely a 2003 World Championship. And attendance has been up and it has become a much more enjoyable place to see a game, especially with one of the most exciting teams in baseball. Plus, while Joe Robbie might not be anything extraordinary as a baseball stadium during the regular season, in the postseason, it is spinetingling incredible. I mean, 65,000 screaming, towel waving fans on their feet--there's no other stadium in baseball currently that has such an advantage. I have to say watching Game 3 of the NLDS against the Giants at Joe Robbie was the greatest baseball experience of my life. And you are talking to someone who grew up in Maryland and has been to Oriole Park at Camden Yards numerous times. I mean, if you can afford to give a bland, concrete bunker like RFK Stadium 3.5 stars, you have to give Joe Robbie Stadium some reconsideration. At least it has some interesting field configurations like asymetrical field dimensions and different height walls. Come on down again and check it out--you'll be surprised the second go around.
