Posted by Gary On Saturday we went to South Bend for the Notre Dame-BYU game. Drizzly and 39 degrees at kickoff. Tradition so thick you could cut it with a knife. I loved the atmosphere. Generic field, generic stadium, generic scoreboard. It felt like the very birthplace of college football. Two bad things though. Sunday we took in the Colts-Jets game. As a Colts fan this was my highlight. All domes, the RCA dome included, feel like you're playing in someone's oversized living room. I don't like the domes. No personality. However it was an exciting game and my team won. After the game we wanted to hang around briefly to take a few pictures when some old female gestapo usher said, "Time to goooo, the dome's closed!!!" A fun trip.

I just read your update of Nov. 14-15 and I assune 16 coming up. I live near San Diego and jusy came back from my own roadie up there. I too went to the Red Wing-Chicago game. I was very impressed with the United Center. That $31 parking lot had to be right next to the building. We parked in a lot just a minute or two away and only paid $10. I collect lapel pins from all the places I go and the Black Hawk pin his about the highest quality one yet. Sweet. Lots of Red Wing fans there.
1) NBC delayed the lickoff 25 minutes because their stupid stock car race ran long! Geez!!
2) Crappy lapel pin. No fighting leprecaun, juct a three-leaf clover with a blue interlocking "ND" on it with a clear epoxy covering. Cheap quality and bad design.
Grrrrrr.
