So Dave G went ahead and granted what at least a decent minority of all board users sometime back voted as what they wanted, a registered message board. I don't remember the exact vote, but my recollection was that there were 25% or more that wanted it. So here it is, and already in the first night, when you would think that people would be excited about getting to see who posts what, the results are interesting. By the read count, at least 50 people signed up for the new board, but nobody has said anything of substance.
Personally I don't mind the anonymous format of the regular board because I think people tend to open their mouths when they don't have to be accountable. Sometimes that can be a lot more interesting and insightful. But I am also for doing it this way too. I get a little tired of the invective, and maybe this side of the message board can be for folks that want to share information, perspective, results, upcoming events, etc. that don't need the emotive angle to provide for fascinating reading.
So I'll give it a shot, will you? If nobody starts posting on here, I will throw out a bunch of topic threads tomorrow evening that might loosen your typing tongues.
