You do not understand correctly. It will be based on the WWBA playing time for the upcoming season. I spelled out WWBA playing time because at the moment it's more relevant to hitters than pitchers but in the future if we add a round up to pitchers it's already baked in. So Tanner Roark will not qualify. If Roark had 20 starts in the 2021 MLB season your statement would be correct, you could release him and he counts as 2 units 16+ GS. A batter with 91 real life ABs will be able to be released as a FA because 91x1.05=95.55 rounded up to next multiple of 5 is 100
